Usually in search of what is “different from our country”, travelers are not so excited to discover their own region. What if Booking.com could help Latin Americans to (re)discover Latin America?
Through research conducted in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, we asked Latin American travelers how Booking.com could encourage their plans by understanding their travel behaviors. Therefore, we created a platform to generate conversations through a program divided into four steps: we conducted a press conference and photographic exhibition about Latin America in São Paulo; we carried out a press trip to the “São João” festivities in Caruaru (Pernambuco) and created the informative website “Loco Por Ti”; we organized events with journalists in São Paulo and Buenos Aires to disclose data about women who travel on their own; and we released survey data to the press about trips focused on volunteer work.by medical specialists.
